Route:

From the Durrand Glacier Chalet follow the main trail past the shower building towards east for 150 meters, cross the tiny stream and continue east for 60 metres more and then follow the main trail branching off towards the left and downhill to a bridge. Cross the bridge and keep following the markers and wide trail to the upper Carnes Creek. 80 meters before you reach Carnes Creek Bridge branch off to the right and follow the trail that takes you up the moraine in a series of switchbacks (Glacier Trail). This brings you to the toe of Durrand Glacier.

Now follow the marked trail towards southeast, to the Goat Lake. Walk along the eastern shore-line and the south side of the lake to the Goat Pass. Now walk in the direction west directly to the summit of Goat Peak. From the summit descend in southerly direction, following the wide ridge-line to Mirror Lake. There keep walking in southerly direction to the obvious rock-cairn, located on top of a prominent knoll. Now descend the trail towards west, down the Ledges back to the Durrand Glacier Chalet.
